Fernwood Resort is an all purpose facility featuring a 12-unit Motel, Forest and Meadow View Campgrpunds, Redwood Bar & Grill, General Store and Espresso Bar, Camping Supply Store, Tavern, and a 60-unit campground located in a redwood forest. We can accommodate large RV's in our campground up to 32' and feature Tent Cabins located on the banks of the Big Sur River. We also feature Adventure Tentsfor our Glamping customers. Fernwood Campground conveniently borders Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park for easy access to local hiking andoffers a great winter camping experience.

Beach access and hiking trails are just 10 minutes away. We are located only 22 miles south of Carmel-By-The-Sea and 68 miles north of San Simeon.

Picnic tables and fire pits are on each campsite. We have hot showers, laundry facilities, and clean restrooms.You may swim in and inner-tube down the river. Fishing is seasonal and catch-and-release November through February. We provide 20amp electricity and water hook-ups for each RV site.

Our cabins and rooms are equipped with queen beds and beautiful natural wood interiors. Shared or private decks are available.

Currently Pfeiffer is still closed due to the recent Soberanes fire. It is projected that they will reopen in May of 2017. You can make reservations online or by phone 7 months in advance on the first of the month.
