Lacy and Jake met on a blind date back in 2018 at the Garden Pub in Pepin. Coming into the date, Jake had just gotten done with a trip to the Boundary Waters with Gavin Lankey and was coming through Pepin. Rachel Seifert convinced Lacy go on the date. It turned out to not be a date but a birthday dinner that included the Seifert family, Tanner Dusek, Lacy, and Jake. After that, they went on a real first date in LaCrosse to see a movie.

Today, Jake and Lacy own a home in Pine Island, MN with their dog, Jesper. Jake works at Benike Construction as an estimator and Lacy works in Goodhue as a middle school English teacher. In their free time, they enjoy hiking, golfing, and watching a good movie. They have also been hard at work in their new home with lots of renovation projects.
