Our story starts in Kearney. Jalen and I crossed paths in small ways at UNK – first in chemistry class freshman year and more frequently at Loper basketball games as he was on the team, and I was on the dance team.

Years & moves later... we connected in Omaha as Jalen started his second year of pharmacy school, and I moved to town to begin OT school. Omaha has quickly become home to us and holds a lot of special memories!

Jalen and I planned a typical weekend in Kearney to see my family and friends this past August. He had other plans! We visited Yanney Park, where we had our first date. He proposed at the top of tower, and I immediately said yes! My “yes” was followed by a loud cheer from friends and family hiding further off in the park.

We are beyond excited for our special day and our life together as the Barrys. We are so thankful for your love and support and can’t wait to celebrate with you!
