It was the first day of class at the University of South Alabama. We were both early to Marketing 101, and we sat at the same table. In my attempt to make a friend, I asked for the WiFi password. He replied that it was probably the one labeled "OPEN" that had no password. He was right, as usual.

And just like that, a connection was made.

After this short interaction, we continued to sit at the same table each week. He asked for my number. I invited him to lunch. During this lunch, he went to the bathroom, and I thought for sure that he had ditched me. Thankfully, he did not. After this lunch, I waited for him to make another move. I waited a solid week before I called my mother, complaining that he would never ask me out. As I was on the phone with her, I got a text: "Do you want to get Mellow Mushroom for lunch?" I swiftly ended the call and replied, "Sure!"

And with that, our story truly began.

From there, we started to hang out every chance we could get. From eating dinner with Shain and Joe to meeting at the Wesley to walking around the neighborhood, we were always together. On October 11, 2021, Griffin asked me to be his girlfriend after one of those neighborhood walks.

During the three years that we have been together, we have experienced many things. We have graduated college together, started our first real jobs, and now we are getting married. So many of my favorite memories have been made after I met Griffin, and I cannot wait to create many more.
