Believe it or not, we met on Facebook. Shocking, right? September 1, 2021...I get a simple, "Good Morning, how are you?" I replied, "I'm good, you?"

I was living in Gainesville, FL at the time so we exchanged numbers and would text pretty much everyday. Sometimes I would come home on the weekends and our schedules never aligned. We didn't physically meet one another until October 6, 2021 when he got tired of playing tag. He told me he's just going to have to come to me when he finishes his morning basketball session. I was like, yeah right...you're not about to drive all the way here just to see me.

He shut me up that day lol...I got a text while I was taking my kids to school that said, "I think I'm here." Now, I'm nervous because he really showed up! Is my place clean enough? Did I put up all the laundry from this morning? I pulled up and there he was. My first thought was, "Oh he's tallllllllllll...and has the cutest dimples!" Now I'm blushing but I'm a G so I can't let him see me blushing!

We hung out for a few until it was time for me to go grab the little people (VPK, pickup is at 1145) so the time spent was short but clearly impactful because we haven't missed a beat since. It was hard not being in the same city but we made it work. Sometimes he'd surprise me and come straight there when he'd get off work. We'd see each other some weekends when I was home, I'd go watch him play basketball (still do) and we love to eat so there was always food involved!

He told me I slipped into his life so gracefully and he was something different for me. Something that I didn't know I needed. I always tell him that he has changed my life for the better, but I know now that WE have changed each other's lives. Spiritually, emotionally, mentally...we are better. Now we are here, in front of our family and friends, becoming husband and wife and we couldn't thank God more for what He has done and is continuing to do within us.
