Let’s rewind to mid-October of 2017. Jamee was just getting settled as a freshman at the University of Utah. She was making new friends, going to sorority and fraternity functions, and of course… studying and classes! Jimmy had already been at the University of Utah for a year, he was a sophomore and already established at the U and with his friends. With all the parties/outings, the two originally met when Jamee had accompanied one of her friends to hang out at Jimmy’s house in late September. But they didn’t really talk or hang out then. It wasn’t until that mid-October night that they would formally meet and be introduced. Jimmy’s fraternity was having a semi-formal event, a classic date night at a nice restaurant, but Jimmy wasn’t able to attend. Then, because of a last-minute change of plans, Jimmy was able to go. The dilemma was he did not have a date! And that is when their friends, who were going together, played matchmaker. This is where Jamee comes into the story. Although she was hesitant at first, she didn’t know this guy and was still very new to this whole “college thing”. But, with some convincing from her friends, she decided to go. Fast forward, the fraternity date night went as well as it could for a blind date and two awkward teenagers. Days and weeks went by before Jimmy reached out and asked Jamee on their first official date! They decided to go to a Utah Jazz basketball game with another couple they knew. It was a night they would all enjoy together and remember forever. From that night forward things between Jamee and Jimmy progressed. They spent more time together, went on more dates, she met more of his friends, and he met more of hers. Dating through college challenged them in many ways but their relationship continued to progress, and they grew together. As the years went on and on there were a lot of milestones Jimmy and Jamee got to accomplish and experience together. They both graduated college, Jimmy got his pilot’s license and joined the Air Force, and Jamee worked as a nurse along side him. After a little over a year of long distance they moved to Oklahoma for Jimmy’s Air Force training. Their year spent in Oklahoma is when things get exciting for them! Being away from all family and friends, they were really forced to lean on each other. Their relationship grew stronger than it ever had, and they met more incredible people! That Christmas they were in Oklahoma they had a big family trip planned. Jamee’s family and Jimmy’s family all in Mexico together for a week! They had been looking forward to the trip for months and couldn’t wait to get out of their small town of Enid. Jamee was excited to see her family, to enjoy the sun and swim! Jimmy was excited but also pretty nervous because he was keeping a secret from not only Jamee but some of the family members too. He had everything prepared and did his best not to give any details away. Jamee of course was somewhat clueless. Jamee’s POV: My mom had suggested we go down to the beach to take family photos, but my dad and brother didn’t want to join. Which I thought was normal for them, but alarms went off in my head when Jimmy said he would walk down to the beach with us. Not only was it a million degrees outside but he hates taking pictures and the beach was a 20-minute walk. I was a little skeptical but not for sure, so I took some extra time to get ready. Jimmy never rushed me, and I came back up to everyone acting normal/relaxed. I thought maybe I was just overthinking it, so we just started our walk down to the beach. My mom and Jimmy both seemed calm and collected. When we got to the beach, they had me stand with her first to take photos. After we found a spot that was the best for our pictures, we switched spots and that’s when it happened! He proposed! I kind of blacked out when he got down on one knee and I realized what was happening. Once my nerves finally settled, I was completely overjoyed with so much love. Jimmy’s POV: I had been planning on proposing over Christmas for months and everyone was in the loop except for Jamee and her dad, Eric. I wanted to ask for her hand in person so I waited until we got together in Mexico. He said something on the lines of “finally!”. To be honest, I was so nervous I barely recall walking down to the beach. Once we got there, we found the “best spot to take pictures”. I hid the ring in a little bag so that it wouldn’t be obvious I had the box in my pocket. Laura took over on the camera and it was Jamee and I’s turn… thats when I was the most nervous. It felt like we took 100 pictures before I got on one knee even though it was a video. I got down on one knee and told Jamee I wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with her. Again I was so nervous I don’t recall everything I said but once she knew what was happening and I saw the smile on her face the nerves turned into joy immediately. We headed back to the house after the engagement to find our family standing, waiting for our arrival with flowers, champagne, and decorations! It was truly the most incredible experience and the best way to celebrate afterwards. The rest of the trip was filled with so much love and overwhelming gratefulness for each other and for our family. After returning back to Oklahoma we decided it was time to grow our family!! So, we bought a dog… Juno! Since then, we have been enjoying our time as an engaged couple, planning the wedding and raising our dog daughter. Our story is incredible and we have loved every minute of it. We cannot wait to share more with you all and take this next step. See you soon 😊

You will want to fly into the Boise Airport (BOI). The Airport is very small and easy to navigate. Baggage claim is downstairs, and where you can get picked up by a rideshare company or grab the keys to a rental car.

This is going to be the easiest way to get around (unless you are renting a car). If you havent used Uber or Lyft before its super easy! Download either App on to your phone and follow the instructions!

Where you wish to stay is open to your preference. Theres options available close to the venue but if you wish to stay closer to the airport or downtown Boise please do! Surrounding towns like Meridian and Boise are all close to Eagle and easy to get to and from! Please let us know if you have any questions.

The Cottage is located at 2811 W State St in Eagle ID. Theres plenty of surrounding neighborhoods where you can rent out a home for the weekend if thats something that interests you!

There is so much to do in the lovely city of Boise. We have listed a couple hot spots and attractions in the area that are always a hit. Personally, we have been to every place listed and can agree with the hype! Of course, Boise is filled with so many other things as well. There is plenty of hiking, shopping, site seeing and restaurants you should definitely explore if you have the time. Let us know if you have any questions and we can help point you in the right direction!

The Table Rock area offers challenging hiking and mountain biking opportunities. Most users access these trails from the Old Idaho Penitentiary parking lot, where there is a kiosk and directional signage for the trails. The Table Rock area offers stunning views of Boise and the Treasure Valley, and is a favorite among trail enthusiasts for sunset hikes and rides.

Every year over 125,000 people enjoy a float-at-your-own-risk experience down the Boise River, floaters put in at Barber Park and take out at Ann Morrison Park.  The park has a raft and tube rental and a shuttle bus service. The float takes approximately 2-3 hours (about 6 miles).
