Our first date feels like forever ago but I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was living in Brooklyn and drove out to Long Island to meet Kim at Hoshi in Patchogue. I didn’t know how it was going to turn out, but for some reason I knew it was all worth the trip. So we met in front of the restaurant and I thought she was beautiful! We had a great time in Hoshi and decided to leave and go to The Cuban for some drinks… and yes more food! If that wasn’t enough we just couldn’t miss dessert, so we went to a vegan ice-cream parlor called Cloud Nine down the street. Now this part is pretty funny… while we were sitting on a bench eating the ice-cream someone selling flowers walked past us and said to me “Take this card, you’ll need it to buy her flowers, she is beautiful!” Kim looked at me and swore she didn’t plan it! So if that wasn’t enough a few minutes later another person walked past us and said to me “She is so beautiful, make sure you treat her right!” I looked at Kim and she couldn’t stop laughing… “I swear I didn’t plan any of this!” Well we had a lot of fun on that bench and then went back to my car and talked more. We even drove over by the water and sat at the dock. And that’s history, we’ve been together ever since! Like Sinatra said in my favorite song Summer Wind, “To nights that never end.”
