We can't wait to celebrate our special day with you! Whether we've known you since birth or only a few years, you have impacted our lives in a meaningful way and we are so grateful for your ongoing love and support. The Groom

The Groom is James Hill! James grew up in Tulia, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M (WHOOP!) with a degree in sports management where he was a proud member of the Corp of Cadets and Savage Six. In 2017, James moved to Indianapolis for what he thought would be only a summer internship at USA Track and Field. But thankfully (for our lovebirds), he stayed for a full time position in the IT department where he still works today.

The Bride

The Bride is Julia Moeller! She's lived in the Indianapolis area her whole life. Currently, Julia is an elementary teacher in Brownsburg. She is crazy about her dog Parker, all things coffee, and loves to read.

How They Met

During the spring of 2020, the whole world shut down. But like any true millennials, James and Julia took to the dating apps to swipe away their boredom. Luckily for them, they swiped on the right person. After texting for several months (imagine a LOT of would-you-rather questions), when COVID seemed to be on the decline (HAHA, little did they know), James suggested a COVID-safe first date— a Netflix watch-party. But, throwing all caution to the wind, Julia upped the ante and suggested an in-person Netflix date instead. Once James realized that the chocolate chip cookies Julia had made were not poisoned (James watched one too many murder documentaries), sparks flew and the rest, as they say, is history.

The Proposal

The following two and a half years were filled with so many new adventures and love! In the fall of 2022, James planned a beautiful vacation to Italy. During one of their excursions, Julia and James spent a day exploring the towns of Cinque Terre. As they were walking through Manarola, Julia noticed some hikers with full backpacks and walking sticks, headed toward a GIANT hill, and said, "I'm glad we're not hiking today". James looked noticeably crestfallen and replied, "We should try it! I think we could take some really cool pictures from that view!" After some motivational coffee and croissants, Julia bravely agreed to face the mountain. As they walked on the trail, they passed not one, but TWO, elderly hikers who had fallen and were bleeding profusely. However, the hikers assured them that help was on the way and that the view was still worth it. So, onward (and upward) Julia and James climbed. At the top, even Julia had to admit, that the view was impossibly beautiful. It was at that moment that James dropped to one knee and asked Julia to marry him. After coming back from a brief blackout, Julia said yes and James gave her the most beautiful ring that he had picked out and designed himself to surprise her.

The Next Chapter

Life together has truly been the biggest blessing and we are so excited to take the biggest step so far in that journey on June 8, 2024! We can't wait for the next chapter of our love story to unfold and we are so excited to share it with you! See you then!
