Our Wedding

James and Macy were first introduced across a campfire on a trip to Moab, UT. As the trip wrapped up at a local pub, James won the dinner date Macy wagered over a game of darts.James flew to Denver the next weekend to visit.

How we met

The two navigated long distance dating soon after becoming acquainted. Each felt that falling in love was inevitable from their first conversations, and their feelings were confirmed at the Mango Inn on their scuba trip to Honduras.Their commitment lifted the weight of long distance dating, and conveniently, James lived in a fun place to visit.

Falling in love

James eventually moved to Colorado for school, big city spoils, and to live closer to Macy. After a year of back-and-fourth between Fort Collins and Denver, Macy and James moved in together for the final year of his Master's.

Life Together

Following their first lease together, Macy and James loaded into a camper for a couple months in Alaska with their dog Kora. On the way, James took a knee in the tussock and here we are today.

Poland Springs has different lodging options around the grounds. Most of the attendees and the events will be at or near the Maine Inn. The Presidential Inn would be the next closest lodging option. When you contact Poland Springs, we don't have a block of rooms so you can just choose the best room for your needs. The preferred airport for The Poland Spring Resort is Portland International Jetport (PWM). Wedding guests should plan to book accommodations at Poland Springs Maine Inn. The Poland Springs Presidential Inn is also a convenient alternative down the hill if the Maine Inn is unavailable.

The Poland Spring Resort

Travel

Poland Springs Resort will be our wedding weekend basecamp for festivities, excluding the ceremony and reception. The resort has a restaurant and bar, golf, tennis, hiking trails, canoe rentals, pool tables, and swimming pools. We'll have lawn games and a fire pit set up at "Cottage Row." The Maine Inn is their lodging option closest to our group activities.

We won't be too far from the coast. Here are some favorite attractions: -Casco Bay Lines ferry rides-Portland Sea Dogs baseball-Downtown Freeport and L.L.Bean campus-Popham Beach-Scarborough Beach-Reid State Park-Boothbay Harbor-Camden
