What is the Dress Code?
The dress code for our wedding will be formal/black-tie optional. For men, tuxedos or a suit is suggested. For women, gowns or midi-length dresses will be perfect. Above all, choose an outfit that makes you feel confident and comfortable, allowing you to enjoy the day to the fullest.
What will the weather be like?
Late September in the Midwest typically brings mild and pleasant weather, with daytime temperatures ranging from 65°F to 75°F and cooler evenings around 50°F to 60°F. However, as we all know weather can be unpredictable, so we recommend dressing in layers to ensure comfort throughout the day. The outdoor tent will provide shelter, and we’ll have heaters on hand if the evening gets chilly. For the church ceremony, the space is climate-controlled, so you’ll stay comfortable indoors. Keep an eye on the forecast as the date approaches for any updates!
What can I expect from the ceremony?
We will be holding our ceremony in a Catholic church, with a traditional Catholic mass.
What is the best way to let you know about dietary restrictions/allergies?
The caterer is very accommodating for dietary restrictions and allergies, please let us know when you respond to your invitation if you have any you would like us to be aware of!
Where can I park?
There is plenty of parking onsite at Old Oaks, however we wil be offering shuttle service to guests staying in the wedding blocks downtown Moline so everyone can celebrate as long as they want without having to worry about driving at the end of the night. More information on shuttle times to come!
Can I bring my kids?
We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception as an adults-only event. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night to celebrate with us!
What should I do between ceremony and cocktail hour?
There will be roughly a 2 hour gap between the ceremony and cocktail hour. Aside from checking into your hotel room (if needed), please check out the 'Things to Do' tab. We have listed out some of our favorite spots in the QC and downtown Moline near the hotels and hope to share those experiences with you this weekend!
