Our story began in high school when we met at a party at Katie's Aunt Lori's house. We talked for a bit before finally agreeing to meet again, and things didn't ultimately go according to plan. We weren't exactly on speaking terms for a long time afterwards until, fast-forward ten years to one fateful day, we matched with each other on Hinge in the winter of 2021.

After maturing a bit during our long hiatus, we hit it off again and had our second first date at Sleepy Bee in Oakley in February. Despite a couple yawns from JD (because of busy season, not the conversation!), we continued seeing each other until Katie's roommate finally asked if we were BF/GF in June.

Since then, we have had many an adventure and are still very much in love even after JD leaving Katie on the mountain once or twice. During our time together, we have been blessed with the addition of Reggie and Rufus, our two dachshunds, who are the Best Boys.

JD employed Reggie's assistance in his proposal to Katie on Christmas Eve 2023 at our new Kentucky home, which she happily accepted before we went on to celebrate with our families.

We are so excited for our big day, and we look forward to celebrating with all of you, our friends and family!
