The dress code is black-tie, so feel free to get fancy with it!
For the guys, that means tuxedos or formal dark suits and ties.
For the ladies, evening dresses and ballgowns are encouraged.
We can't wait to see everyone looking their best and having fun with it!
What are your wedding colors?
We kept it classic with this black tie event selecting only black, white, and gold for wedding colors.
Are children invited?
Children are absolutely welcome and we look forward to celebrating with our family and friends as a whole. We do ask, however, that little ones remain quiet during the ceremony and off the dance floor during important moments.
Will there be an open bar?
We are grateful to extend an open bar to our guests throughout the evening. Please feel welcome to bring cash if you'd like to tip your bartender.
Can I bring a plus one or additional guests?
Your plus one is certainly welcome if indicated on your invitation. The wedding events are invite only by design. Please contact the bride or groom if there is an additional guest you believe should be considered.
Do I have to stay at the Hotel Du Pont?
Not at all. You are welcome to stay wherever is comfortable for you. We offer a Hotel Du Pont room block and recommended nearby hotels for guest convenience as all events will be hosted at the Du Pont.
What happens if I'm late to the ceremony or unable to attend?
The ceremony procession will begin at 4:30pm EST. Please feel comfortable arriving at least 15 minutes prior. Guests arriving during the procession will be asked to wait outside the ceremony room until the procession has concluded and then you may take your seat.
If you are unable to attend the ceremony but intend to join the reception dinner, please reflect your selection on the RSVP.
Can we take pictures during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that you put away your cameras and phones during the ceremony as we have selected a talented photographer to record the timeless moment. At the reception, feel free to document the night as you see fit! There will be disposable cameras available to guests to help the bride and groom capture candid moments.
What are some common wedding guest faux pas I might want to be aware of?
To keep the celebration focused on the bride and groom it is common practice to avoid wearing white or ivory as a dominating color.
In the same light, it is unfavorable to propose to your lucking significant other at a wedding (and is even considered bad luck).
