Q + A
Where should I stay?
We recommend staying somewhere in Boise, Meridian or Eagle. Pretty much everywhere is within a 20-30 minute drive to our venue! You can find specific recommendations including links to our preferred hotels on our "travel" page.
When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP before September 24th. We want to make sure we have enough delicious food, drinks and treats for everyone to enjoy!
Are children welcome?
Of course! Just be sure to RSVP if they will be joining you or not so we can plan accordingly.
Will there be a seating chart?
Yes, we are utilizing a seating chart for the reception! Please let us know if we have misspelled your name. We want to have it correct for the wedding! Additionally, if your RSVP included a "guest" we would love it if you could notify us of their first and last name prior to the event.
What should I wear?
Our dress code is semi-formal. That being said, this is an OUTDOOR wedding. We recommend taking late-autumn weather trends into consideration which can range anywhere from 65 to 45 degrees at ceremony time...or not. There could be snow. Boise is truly unpredictable haha! No matter the weather we will do our best to keep our guests comfy, cozy and happy! We will have heat sources scattered throughout the reception area and blankets for bundling up. However, we HIGHLY encourage dancing as the most efficient heating source. P.S. There is grass to walk across so leave your stilettos at home!
Is the venue indoors or outdoors?
Our venue is an outdoor riverside property with a tented patio for dancing. As previously mentioned, we will have heat sources scattered throughout the reception area and blankets for you to bundle up. There is a small cottage on site that the wedding party will be utilizing as their getting ready space. However, you are more than welcome to use the two restrooms inside come reception time! Fun Fact: The 1930's Spanish revival home was restored by The Boise Boys on Season 2 Episode 12 of their HGTV show!
Is there parking?
Yes! Follow the signs upon arrival any you will find ample parking available just adjacent to the ceremony and reception areas. We ask that you follow the signs for one-way traffic flow by entering through the cottage gates and exiting at the far side of the lot. You may also leave your car overnight if need-be as long as it is picked up by 2 PM on Sunday. Uber and Lyft are your BFFs in Boise. Safety first, folks!
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
No! Please don't be "that guy" and keep your phones, cameras, etc. tucked safely away during our ceremony! We have hired a photographer (Kelsey - she's awesome) and promise to share her amazing photos after the event!
Can I take photos during the reception?
HELL YES! Please take all of the photos of our big day that you'd like *besides during the ceremony.* Use #LoveByTheMoons on all of your social media posts so we can relive our favorite day on the way to our honeymoon!
Will there be food?
YES! We will be hosting a catered dinner and dessert bar by the amazing 3 Girls Catering. Be sure to select your meal preference when you RSVP so we have enough to go around! Dietary restrictions? You're in luck! 3 Girls has gluten free and vegan options for dinner and dessert to (hopefully) meet the needs of all of our guests.
Will there be dancing?
You betcha! We hired an awesome DJ to make sure this party is rockin'! You can bet your ass that you will be out there tearing up the dance floor or you'll have to suffer the wrath of the wedding party bugging you all night to get you out there.
Will there be an open bar?
YES! We are hosting beer and wine all night long! Signature cocktails will be hosted during cocktail hour. A full bar will be available if you would like to purchase other liquor. Disclaimer: This event will be heavily photographed. Any drunken shenanigans will be documented and thoroughly mocked for years to come. Please proceed with caution.
