Joe and Jami first met in passing in college when Jami was in Milwaukee visiting her high school friend Tia at Marquette. In 2018, both Jami and Joe were single. Their mutual friend Tia decided that they would be perfect for each other and arranged a weekend for both of them to "conveniently" visit her at the same time. Sparks flew and soon Joe and Jami were visiting each other most weekends.

Things were a little complicated as Joe lived in Rockford, IL and Jami lived in Madison, WI. However, they liked each other too much to let that stand in the way! They dated long distance for almost a year before Jami decided to relocate to Milwaukee in 2019. Joe quickly followed later that year and they were together in the same city at last!

Jump 3 years into the future and Joe and Jami are celebrating their 4-year anniversary. Joe decides that this is the perfect opportunity to ask Jami to go ring shopping.
