Jamie Ann and Zachary met during the tumultuous year of 2020.

Zachary was in his senior year of college at Cornell University when he received word that his final semester of classes would be carried out online due to a pandemic. Unbeknownst to him this (hopefully!) once-in-a-lifetime experience would lead to another. Prior to embarking on the days-long roadtrip from upstate New York to northern Nevada, Zachary arranged a detour and planned to stay with a friend in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado. Little did he know that this "detour" would evolve to residency in Denver, Colorado.

In the spring of 2020, Jamie Ann was set to round out her third year of figure skating professionally. She would complete her first tour with Disney on Ice in late May. However, with the announcement of shutdowns and quarantines, the tour was abruptly cut short. It was with great sorrow and uncertainty that Jamie Ann would return home to Breckenridge; forced to put her career on pause for the time being.

The two became restless amidst the isolation. Longing for connection outside the confines of the house, they found each other online. After weeks of conversing virtually, Jamie Ann and Zach decided to meet in person. (Ooo, a scandal!) Soon after, they became inseparable. Zachary extended his stay in Breckenridge by two weeks... which turned into one month.... then adjusted to remain there for the summer... and eventually they each signed leases in Denver, Colorado.

A little more than one year after settling in Denver, the pair would be faced with a test. Jamie Ann received word that Disney on Ice would resume touring shows in the fall. She eagerly accepted her 4th contract and prepared to '(re)join the circus' in October of 2021. Zachary expressed his continued commitment to Jamie Ann and promised to await her return. After 8 months, the two were reunited. This time, it was Zachary's turn to follow his dreams. After two years as an ABA therapist, he prepared for the lengthy application and interview process required for admission into graduate programs. Zachary was accepted into the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at Pacific University in Portland, Oregon.

On December 17, 2022, Zachary proposed to Jamie Ann with a show-stopping evening of events featuring a scenic helicopter tour of downtown and a dinner cruise aboard the Portland Spirit.

And now, with ONE love, TWO dogs, THREE cities, FOUR big adventurers, and nearly FIVE years together (05/28/2025!), Jamie Ann and Zachary are elated to be wed!
