JAMIE'S VERSION:

Our story begins in the winter of 2009. From across the cabaret decorated high school cafeteria, Jamie heard the sound of violins long before it began. Was it Michael Buble? No. No, it was better…much better. A 17 year old stallion in a leg cast on crutches singing “Sway” in an oversized button-down shirt. In this moment she was undone. But a freshman and a senior?? It couldn’t be. Could it? According to Lori…it absolutely could. And it would! A determined Lori Boyd took Jamie by the arm and made her go talk to the man of her dreams and the rest was history. Well, not exactly. The isn't your garden variety High School sweetheart story. We love a good cliff hanger. Scott went away to college, and this season finale episode faded to black with a hug from Jamie's mom to Scott as she uttered the words she's just young!!
What's this? Out of curiosity, 10 years later, Fate herself pulled the series back up on the streaming service and realized it had been renewed for a new season?? She hit that watch next episode button faster than you can say Slainte! (Which might not actually be that fast when pronouncing for the first time, so maybe she got a snack first.)
This episode opens at the 2019 pride festival. “Hey Scott! You’re still in NYC right? My band is playing in the city and I was wondering if I could crash on your couch?” The two were in the friendzone, but we’ll take it. After spending months in this zone, in a grand romantic gesture, Scott whisked Jamie away to the West End in London for a few days to see The Waitress. And the rest was history! ...wait...no...shit, we all know Jamie. The friendship continued. The two went on Bumbling around, all the while keeping each other updated, talking pretty much every day. Then something happened in episode Covid-19. There’s something about a world shutting down that opens the heart. On April 16th 2020, one text changed their wold....

“Pigtails”

But that shit was from someone else (iykyk), it was the NEXT text from Scott which lead to a 6 hour phone call in which the words “I love you” were exchanged that *really* changed the game for our star-crossed main characters.
In that moment, Scott bought a round trip ticket to Frederick that became a one way to forever. And finally, friends…the rest is history. For real this time!! They currently live happily ever after in Frederick Maryland with Johnny Puerto Rico and are gearing up for the fairytale wedding deserving of this saga with the people they love the most!! They can’t wait to create more history with you all in a few short months...and for several more seasons!

SCOTT'S VERSION:


Jamie and Scott met in high school chorus in the Spring of 2009 at a Cabaret. They hit it off right away. Scott and Jamie grew in love over the course of the next year but as is often the case with young love, the timing just wasn't right. Scott was going off to college and Jamie had her own growing up to do. Scott and Jamie kept in touch off and on over the next ten years, checking in from time to time with a quick How's everything going but it wasn't until the Summer of 2019 that the winding roads of fate led them back to one another. Jamie was playing a show with her band at the Pride 50th Anniversary celebration in NYC, and she reached out to Scott who had been living in Manhattan for a few years at that point. Little did she know that Scott had always held a special place in his heart for her and was all to willing to let her crash at his place for the weekend. Over the course of the next year Jamie and Scott reignited a fierce friendship, sharing holidays, travel abroad, and several nights out on the town in the friend zone. But the universe had greater plans for them. When the pandemic of 2020 shut down New York City, along with the rest of the world, Scott and his friends fled for warmer weather down to Florida and Jamie hunkered down in Frederick with her family. Jamie and Scott talked almost every day and after six weeks Jamie asked Scott to quarantine in Frederick for a week with them. So Scott booked a flight to Maryland and a bus ticket from Maryland back to NYC...but he never did get on that bus back to New York. And the rest is history. Scott and Jamie moved to Baltimore together and rode out the rest of the pandemic before moving back to NYC in the Summer of 2022 and then back to Frederick in the Summer of 2024 to be closer to family. Over those four years they built a life together full of new friends, lots of travel, and of course Johnny Puerto Rico.
