In May of 1974, Rebecca’s mom (my Aunty Rita) stood beside my mom as her maid of honor. Growing up, Rebecca and I shared countless mother-daughter brunches, endless laughter, and a lifetime of memories. It feels incredibly special to honor our moms and carry on this beautiful tradition with my cousin now standing by my side

“My Mom asked your Mom if you could walk me to school”. So the story goes on how Pete and Joey met and started their friendship in 1983. These walks led to many adventures together through the years. The schools as well as the paths would eventually differ, but Pete was always there as a friend, and now as my Best Man.

Our flower girl, Maverick, has a cool, calm confidence. She takes her role seriously, walking down the aisle with quiet sass and style. Expect perfectly placed petals and just the right amount of attitude—because she knows how to make an entrance without saying a word.

"Our ring bearer, Bentley, is hilariously goofy, and just the right mix of charming and forgetful. He’s promised not to lose the rings… but we’re still double-checking his pockets just in case. He’s bringing big laughs, even bigger energy, and will probably make a grand entrance without even trying. Honestly, we wouldn’t trust anyone else to fumble through this job with such style!"

When I started dating Joey, my brother Jay—never one to keep a thought to himself (shocking, I know)—gave me his immediate and unsolicited opinion. He said, “Joey’s a good guy. Don’t mess it up.” Classic Jay: blunt, honest, and in this case, actually right. Over the years, I’ve pictured walking down the aisle more times than I can count. And after we lost Dad, I knew there was only one person who could step into those shoes without missing a beat—Jay. He’s been my built-in bodyguard, and occasional pain in the butt. But most of all, he’s been my steady, hilarious, and fiercely loyal big brother. Thanks for walking me down the aisle, Jay, and for everything we've gotten through together.
