Are children invited?
This is a kid-free wedding. I'm sure that's wonderful for some and anxiety provoking for others. Oliver, Thomas and Madeleine are in the wedding party and available for hugs if parents find themselves needing some kid love. The wedding party children will have a babysitter to ensure the family doesn't have to leave the party early. In hopes of making your night away from the kids easier, we have provided some nanny resources in the childcare section of our website.
Will there be transportation to and from the event?
Yes, there will be shuttles to and from the wedding. We feel very passionate about everyone getting home safe.
The shuttle will depart from the High School parking lot (2390 Main Ave). Look for Mild to Wild Shuttle buses.
Shuttle times:
Leaving Durango to venue 2:30pm and 3:05pm (ceremony starts at 4).
Leaving venue to Durango: 8:45pm 9:30pm and 10:30pm (DJ ends at 10:15ish).

If I want to drive instead of taking the shuttle, is that an option?
Yes! Jim and Chris have a very long driveway that starts as soon as you take a left off CR 250. There is more than enough room for your vehicle. If you drive, please make sure you have a designated driver. We want everyone to get home safe.
Will there be shelter from the weather?
We will have a large wedding tent in case it rains or in case the August sun provides a need to escape from the heat. There will also be a Teepee on site.
Can I camp at the venue?
We are not providing the option to camp at the venue. If you are interested in camping, there are many options in Durango to make this happen. Please see the Travel section of our website for recommendations.
Am I invited to the ceremony or reception or both?
Everyone is invited to the ceremony and reception.
What time should I arrive on the day of the event?
The ceremony starts at 4pm and the reception and dance party will go until 10pm. The venue is roughly a 20-minute drive from Durango. If you're driving yourself, we recommend arriving a little early (3:00ish) to get parked and acclimated to the venue. If you are taking the shuttle, please stay tuned for pick up location and times.
Will there be alcohol?
Yes! We will be providing beer and wine at the wedding. There will also be mocktails to honor Jamie's alcohol-free lifestyle.
Can you furry animal come?
Even though Jamie is obsessed with animals, please don't bring them to the wedding, she's liable to kidnap them :)
My invitation did not have a plus one/guest.
In order to keep our event at a manageable number, we ask that you do not bring a surprise guest with you. There will be plenty of people to mingle with at the wedding.
Does Jamie spell her name Jaime or Jamie?
I'm sure some of you have noticed that my name is spelled two different ways, Jaime and Jamie. The wedding link shows 'Jaime' and the title with Brian and my name shows 'Jamie.' It's not meant to confuse you intentionally, it's just how things paned out. I made a choice at a very young age to change the spelling of my birth name from Jamie to Jaime. I came home from school at four years old and told my parents that the kids at my school told me I spell my name "the boy way." At that momentent, I unofficially changed the spelling of my name from Jamie to Jaime. Decades later as I went through the process of social work licensure, I had to revert back to the legal spelling of my name. Long story short, I answer to both versions. Jamie is the legal way and how I spell my name these days, but I have numerous situations in which my old spelling will pop up from time to time. For instance, my email or how I told you to spell it when you put it in your phone for the first time. I guess this is validation for my parents that I was wild-hearted from the beginning :) You can spell it either way and if you are a rule follower, go with the legal spelling (Jamie). Big hugs!
