In 2014 Chris and I "swiped right" on each other's Tinder profiles. Mutual Facebook friends included my sister and her partner at the time. I thought to myself, "well, he's probably not going to chop me up in his basement".

After a few weeks of casual back-and-forth talking, we finally decided to meet. As soon as I met him, I knew there was something really special between us. Weeks went on and I started to fall for him.

A month after we started dating officially, he told me he loved me. I was taken aback but not put off. I honestly told him that I had not felt that way yet, and that I would not say it if I hadn't meant it.. A week or so later, I uttered the phrase, "I love you".
