Our Wedding

Jared Yielding and Jamie Jewels first met in 2013. At first, they were both quiet and unsure of one another. Gradually, however, they opened up more and this led to a wonderful friendship. He introduced her to Star Trek the Original Series and she introduced him to funny song parodies. They were close friends for 3 years before they developed romantic feelings for one another.

How We Met

Jared and Jamie had been good friends for 3 years. Neither wanted to admit their feelings for fear of ruining their friendship. But a series of small, seemingly inconsequential, situations led to them wanting to be more than that. There are too many events to list that led to their love. So, lets just leave it at they are a couple of, thoughtful, nerds that fell in love.

How We Fell In Love

Jared and Jamie had discussed marriage from the very beginning of their relationship and were even one another’s emergency contacts. However, he officially proposed to her 5 years later on New Year’s Eve, at midnight. He knew she loved the movie, When Harry Met Sally, because she watched it every year around New Years. So, he tailored his speech for her to mimic the one at the end of the movie. As he proposed he had her favorite song from the movie, It Had to be You, playing in the background. Jamie thought it was so special and heartfelt. She could see how much time and consideration Jared put into making her feel loved and she immediately said yes❤️

The weekend of July 9th, 2022 the Yieldings are hosting a wedding reception at their home to celebrate the marriage of Jamie and Jared. It will be a semi-formal gathering outside with food and drink provided. All kids are welcome and will have plenty of space to hangout and play.
