Their story began in 2000 when Jamie got hired for CSX. Jamey already was working there as an engineer. She started off with being his dispatcher and chief. Throughout the years, they became great friends. Fast forward to March 17th, 2023, Jamie saw on facebook that Jamey was in Lakeland, FL working. They talked on the phone for a little bit while Jamey was enjoying St. Patrick's Day at Obrien's. Jamie decided to join in the holiday fun by driving down to see him the next day. March 18th, 2023 was the beginning of the rest of their lives.
