Ok, so that’s not quite where our story starts. Where does anyone meet anyone these days?! Online, of course! Our story begins with ‘Bumble.’
According to the Oxford Languages Dictionary, the first definition of ‘Bumble’ is, and I quote, “move or act in an awkward or confused manner.” Now, I’m not saying our whole relationship has mirrored the definition of the word but what relationship is without their fair share of ‘Bumble?’
(Skipping embarrassing parts of our relationship to spare my fiancé.)
…and then he said, I don’t need time. I know what I want (read this part dramatically for effect). We then rekindled our love for one another. It was like we didn’t miss a beat except it was better this time, stronger, happier, more loving, more compassionate, more caring, more kind. We are better together and like one another too.
Since things were going so well and we are old enough to go big or go home, we ended up in Paris on a rainy night on top of the Eiffel Tower listening to perfect strangers applaud and express their congratulations as he asked me to be his forever. This was the best moment of our lives.
We are so excited to marry one another. We are even more excited to share this day with you. Cheers to another ‘best moment of our lives’ on April 20, 2024, and here’s to happily ever after with a bit of bumble.
