Welcome!

Each activity listed below is Kentucky's hospitality at it's finest... no seriously, these activities cost $0 to experience, with the exception of Keeneland. We encourage you to make the most of your time here-- go explore the bluegrass state. It's beautiful in the Fall!

Talon Winery & Vineyards

7086 Tates Creek Rd, Lexington, KY 40515, USA
(859) 971-3214

Check out the lovely space where we got engaged! Talon Winery produces several great wines and is an awesome space to pack a picnic basket and spend a Sunday afternoon.

Carson's Food & Drink - On Main

362 E Main St, Lexington, KY 40507, USA
(859) 309-3039

This is one of our favorite restaurants in town. If you're looking for a good heavy brunch spot or a nice dinner out, consider Carson's. We're obsessed with their crab truffle fries!

Note: a reservation highly recommended!

The Arboretum State Botanical Garden of Kentucky

University of Kentucky, 500 Alumni Dr, Lexington, KY 40503, USA
(859) 257-6955

If you're looking for a scenic space to get a walk or run in while visiting, consider taking a trip to the Arboretum. It's one of the bride's favorite spots to walk the dogs.

Red River Gorge Geological Area

Robbie Ridge Rd, Stanton, KY 40380, USA
(606) 663-8100

This is another hiking option with longer trails than Berea. While the area is a bit more difficult to navigate, there are plenty of signs that will help you stay on track. You can look up some of the trails before visiting, but Natural Bridge is a great option and will boast an absolutely stunning view with the shades of orange & red among the trees in the area.

*Note: Not all trails are dog friendly. If traveling with pets, check before heading out!

Drive Time to/from Lexington: ~40mins

Berea College Forestry Outreach Center at the Pinnacles

2047 Big Hill Rd, Berea, KY 40403, USA
(859) 756-3315

Great for a short & scenic hike option, the Pinnacles of Berea offer shorter trails that overlook miles of Kentucky landscape in the fall. Some trails and areas are more rugged than others, but everything is marked and the view from the top is always worth it!

Drive Time to/from Lexington: ~35mins

Buffalo Trace Distillery

113 Great Buffalo Trce, Frankfort, KY 40601, USA
(866) 729-3722

If you are around the area a couple extra days, consider checking out one of our favorite distilleries. Buffalo Trace is responsible for several bourbon connoisseur favorites, such as Blanton's, Eagle Rare, and Pappy Vanwinkle!

Disclaimer: you will not find a bottle of Pappy sitting on the shelf here, but it's still worth your while to go visit!

Reservation required: Tours are complimentary, include a tasting, and are available to book on the Buffalo Trace Website.

Drive-Time to/from Lexington: ~30mins
