Jamie & Brandon first met just days into their freshman year of college at Niagara University through mutual friends. After freshman year Brandon transferred to St. John Fisher while Jamie remained at NU.

During the years Jamie and Brandon kept in touch to check in and see how the other was doing. During one of these check ins, Jamie and Brandon decided to meet for coffee to catch up. They got together at Garage Coffee in November of 2018 and then again at Christmas time. From then on they stayed in close contact, often exchanging texts, chatting on the phone, and frequently FaceTiming.

With Brandon living in Washington, DC at the time, the relationship started out “long-distance”, but Jamie and Brandon both frequently travelled to visit each other during this time. They explored the monuments in DC, wineries of Virginia, and spent time getting to really know one another.

Brandon was recruited for a job in Buffalo, and they moved him down in March of 2019! Jamie embraced showing Brandon around Buffalo and finally being a car ride away instead of a flight. A year into their relationship, they moved into their first apartment together. After 11 months, they bought a house on Buffalo’s West Side, and became homeowners and landlords. A year later Jamie set up a meet n greet with a local animal rescue with a little puppy. After one meeting they couldn’t let anyone else adopt him, so the next day they brought home Theo.

They continued to travel and explore the world together, visiting Asheville, Raleigh, Niagara on the Lake, Boston, the Finger Lakes, Denver, Pasadena/LA, the Adirondacks and Portugal. They also discovered their mutual love of wine and craft beers, visiting countless wineries and breweries. They became wine members of a winery in Ontario, which eventually became the place where Brandon got down on one knee and asked Jamie to be his wife, on their 5 year anniversary.
