Our Love Story

Meant to be

Picture of Meant to be

We first met in the summer of seventh grade. Tanner went to Desert Ridge Middle School and I went to Eisenhower Middle School. We had mutual friends and ended up meeting for the first time EVER at Uncle Cliffs Amusement Park. We are so thankful for the first day we met; it was the very beginning of us and we didn’t even know it. Now, we can both admit to having a crush on eachother since that day, but just never had a good opportunity to act on the feelings. Even though, over the years that had passed we hung out lots of different times with different people/crowds. Looking back, our paths crossed so many times that it seemed too good to just be a coincidence… If two hearts are meant to be together, no matter how long it takes, how far they go, how tough it seems, fate will bring them together.

“Little by little, day by day, what’s meant for you will find its way”.

Fast forward 13 years, another incredible coincidence..Tanners bestfriend Rand is married to my bestfriend Mikey. They were visiting Albuquerque for Thanksgiving from their home in Lousiana. A large group of us planned to get together at Bosque Brewery to spend some time with Rand & Mikey before they headed home. It was SO good to see Tanner because it had been years since we could actually sit down and talk. At the end of the day everyone was saying their goodbyes and Tanner came over to say goodnight and recited my phone number to me (same one since 7th grade) to make sure we could keep in touch! Gosh darn it.. Tanner nailed it... didn’t miss a digit! A few weeks later Tanner called and had our first official date.. We had lunch at Tomasitas, took walks with our dogs (Scooby and Macy), then we finished the night with what used to be our old favorite hangout, the ice skating rink! That was hands down the best date ever. We laughed, fell hard on the ice and did what we do best....goofed around. We talked about the old days, the new things in our lives, and all that had happened in between. We laughed so much that day.... It was like we were kids again, just having good ole fashioned fun. We even held hands for the first time while ice skating and man could we feel the sparks FLY! Obviously we shared a sweet kiss to end the evening and from that day on we have been inseparable! Shoot, what can we say… when your heart knows, it just KNOWS. There’s no explaining it, there’s just trusting it. The love that we share is unmatched. Together with God, we know we can handle anything that comes our way. And not to toot our own horn, but so far I think we’ve done pretty darn good. It’s us against the world! They say when you get married the wedding is the most talked about part but the marriage is what’s actually important. We believe we will have such a strong, beautiful, long and happy marriage… We did it!! We picked the person we want to make a life with forever. We have chosen the person we want to parent with, face hard choices, deal with losses and gains, cheer each other on.....no matter what the circumstances are, fight spiritual battles with and so much more. There’s no one else I feel more compatible with to do life with than the person I get to marry on October 5th 2024. We are so madly in love, there is nothing that will break us.

“Above all, love each other deeply, because loves covers a multitude of sins” - Peter 4:8

We are so incredibly thankful to God for His amazing grace in bringing us together after so many years. God has really blessed us in so many ways we can’t even begin to describe. We are so excited to get married surrounded by all our wonderful friends and amazing families. A new chapter is about to begin and we can’t wait!

Thanks for being a part of our continuing love story, see y’all at the wedding!

“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate” - Mark 10:9
