If you've already read Jamie's perspective then you know that the cat is out of the bag. Me and Jamie's relationship started semi-on Tinder. I saw Jamie's profile and recognized one that she was a friend of my friend Becky and two she was one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen. After trying to get out of a pickup line requirement and finally sending one of my best I was met with radio silence.

Sometime later in early November it was her birthday and after seeing a couple of birthday posts for her from other friends I sent a direct message to her letting her know that I thought she was very nice and very pretty and would love to start a conversation, she also met this message with radio silence. For around a week I heard and saw nothing until one day I had a message back! She sent me her Snapchat username and nothing else no sentence no emoji, nothing. I added her and reached out.

We began talking but very sporadically and while I was invested in trying to spark a conversation she was not, I was met with a lot of dry responses so many single-word responses were sent by Jamie I thought she must be going for a record. Eventually, I managed to either charm her or wear her down and we started talking everyday and a lot of times facetiming late at night. We planned for a date when she got back to Bozeman on the 5th of January towards the end of Christmas break.

That day I woke up early in Helena and packed my stuff to hit the road and head back to Bozeman for my big date. Later that evening I picked Jamie up from her sorority house in my 1998 Isuzu Rodeo. I got out and immediately used my key fob so that I could lock it and allow me to open her door. I forgot to bring into consideration that even when unlocked the passenger side door stuck. I unlocked it very quickly in my pocket and proceeded to wrestle the door for around 30 seconds muttering and grunting all sorts of obscenities (did I mention the pep talk I had to myself 10 minutes before to not cuss because Jamie was raised in a very catholic household and I didn't need to embarrass myself) after getting her and her bag in the car I took her to the classiest and cheapest restaurant in Bozeman...Olive Garden. After a quiet but curious dinner and me over-drafting my debit card, we headed back to my house and watched a movie at some point during the movie I turned to Jamie and asked her if she would be my girlfriend. When she said no my heart sank...only to then watch her laugh in my face and say she would be happy to be my girlfriend.

3 years later after countless jokes and good and bad dates and trying to introduce her to my numerous hobbies with her always (and sometimes not) being a good sport. I told Jamie while she took pictures with her new camera I needed to grab my phone from the truck to mark something on the map. When I came back I had my phone in hand and a ring in my pocket. After 4 famed words the deed was done we were engaged 3 years to the day of me asking her to be my girlfriend.
