Our story actually starts in high school, where we both went to the same prom with different people! We both knew of each other, but didn't really get to know each other until quite a few summers later.

Things kicked into gear about a year before we officially started dating in July of 2017 at the infamous Boardy Barn for a mutual friend's birthday (hi Gina!). After a day of very respectful flirting and maybe a kiss or two (sorry moms and dads), we exchanged phone numbers.

We texted each other here and there through the next few months, but wouldn't meet in person again until April of 2018. Mark was supposed to come to the city with myself and a group of friends for another mutual's birthday, but didn't show.

Disappointed, and with a little liquid courage in my system, I texted Mark that night about his no-show and the rest is history! We spoke every day since and became nearly inseparable, making things official on July 7th, 2018.

As we finally & truly got to know each other, we realized just how similar we are, down to the smallest details...like how we prefer a cup of chocolate milk: with two iced cubes. We also share a love of dogs (or anything remotely fuzzy), so much so that everyone we know is genuinely surprised that we don't have one yet.

When we met each other's families, things clicked into place even more. It felt like snapping the final puzzle piece into the puzzle. We both couldn't have asked for better future in-laws!

We closed on a condo in Jersey City on June 10th, 2022 and moved in together the following month. We spent many evenings and weekends exploring our new neighborhood and going out to eat in Hoboken, where Mark would propose two years later!

I had a sneaking suspicion that Mark was going to pop the question earlier this year and proceeded to tell all of my friends and family about my prediction of a proposal while on our trip to Spain. He actually planned the proposal to happen a week before our trip on the Hoboken waterfront on March 16th, completely throwing me off. It was one of the best days EVER, spent celebrating with family and friends.

We began touring wedding venues in August and fell in love with Hotel du Village. When they told us that March 16th, 2025 was still available, it felt like fate. We are so excited to take this next step in life together and cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
