Our Wedding

Jamie and Lucas’s love story began in the summer of 2016. They were both entering their senior year of high school, full of anticipation and excitement for the year ahead. That summer, their paths crossed at the Mt. Carmel festival, thanks to Jamie’s maid of honor, Daria. From the moment they started talking, there was an undeniable connection. By September 2016, their friendship had blossomed into something more. Jamie and Lucas 'officially' started dating, and their senior year was filled with shared laughter and unforgettable moments. From attending each other's high school dances to celebrating the little victories and enduring the challenges together, their bond grew stronger. As the year came to an end, they faced the bittersweet reality of heading off to different colleges. Despite the miles between them, Jamie and Lucas were determined to make their relationship work. Over the next five years, they navigated the trials of a long-distance relationship through texting and frequent facetime calls. They cherished every opportunity to visit each other, whether it was for a weekend or during holidays. The distance only made their hearts grow fonder. They learned to communicate deeply, to appreciate the time they had together, and to support each other’s dreams and ambitions.&nbsp; When Lucas finally moved back home after college, it felt like a dream come true. They made up for lost time, savoring the simple joys of being together. They supported each other as they embarked on their careers, always finding ways to show love and appreciation. Fast forward to September 5th, 2023—exactly seven years since they first started dating. Lucas planned a special evening to celebrate their anniversary. With a heart full of love- fighting past the nerves, he got down on one knee and asked Jamie to marry him. The easiest question Jamie ever answered- sealing their commitment to a lifetime together. Jamie and Lucas are immensely grateful for the unwavering support of their friends and family throughout their journey. As they look forward to their wedding day, they are excited to celebrate their love story with everyone who has been a part of it, cherishing the past and embracing the future.

Daria has been Jamie’s best friend since 2013, sharing countless memories and milestones along the way. In the summer of 2016, at the Mt. Carmel Festival, Daria played a pivotal role in Jamie’s love story—introducing her to Lucas and setting their journey in motion. From high school adventures to navigating adulthood together, Daria has always been by Jamie’s side, and there’s no one she’d rather have standing with her on her wedding day!

Jamie and Janice first met in nursing school, but through countless hours of studying at Jamie’s house, their bond quickly grew as if they had been best friends forever. Whether it’s daily phone calls or spending time together, there’s rarely a day they go without catching up. Janice is Jamie’s go-to person, her rock, and the one she can always count on. Jamie couldn’t imagine saying “I do” without Janice by her side on this special day!

Janice Morgan

Rachel is Jamie's future sister-in-law.  Their bond is marked by shared laughter, often at Lucas's expense, and cherished moments over coffee/lunch dates.  Jamie is so thankful to have a sister-in-law like Rachel and is excited to make more memorable moments!

Bethany is Jamie's other future sister-in-law, she is married to Lucas's brother.  Bethany and Jamie knew they would get along when they found their love for gossiping about The Bachelor. The three of us have only known life with brothers, Jamie is thrilled to be adding two sisters in her life!

Maryam is Jamie's cousin, aka her unofficial older sister. Growing up Jamie could always look up to Maryam, and now as they plan their weddings, it couldn't be more true. This upcoming year promises to be full of celebration as Maryam and Jamie stand by each other on their special days!

Karen and Jamie are cousins who share a special bond- some say they are one in the same! Their annual winery trips are a cherished tradition. Jamie is thrilled to have Karen be a part of her big day, knowing Karen will only add to the love and fun that will make the day unforgettable!

Zoe, Jamie's beloved cousin, holds a special place in her heart as the first baby cousin in her life. Jamie fondly remembers teaching Zoe how to do a duck face and pose for their countless selfies together. Now that Zoe is older, Jamie is thrilled to have her as one of her bridesmaids celebrating their lifelong connection and create new memories together!

Jamie and Irena have been close friends since high school, sharing countless sleepovers and unforgettable memories.  As a talented photographer, Irena captured Jamie and Lucas’s engagement, making their special moment even more meaningful. Jamie is beyond grateful to have such a wonderful friend by her side on her wedding day.

Jamie and Katie first met in preschool and later rekindled their friendship during nursing school. Katie’s caring nature and unwavering support have made their bond effortless. Jamie is incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful friend by her side to celebrate the wedding festivities.

Macie and Aubrey are the most special nieces to 'Uncle Lukey and Auntie Jamie'. They are the sweetest girls that will add the most perfect touch to their wedding day!

Harrison is the best big brother that Lucas could ever ask for. Ever since Lucas can remember, Harrison was always there for him whether it was for sports, help with schoolwork, or just needing someone to talk to. Having Harrison as a role model is a blessing that Lucas will always be grateful for and he can’t wait to have him stand next to him on his wedding day. The best big brother is Lucas’ BEST MAN.

TJ is Lucas’ future brother in law. Their bond is shared by sports and joking around together (Go Bucks!). Lucas is thankful for TJ welcoming him into the family and being a great brother to Jamie.  He looks forward to enjoying the wedding festivities together and creating more memories in the future. 

TJ Suydam

Chris is Lucas’ cousin. Ever since a young age, Chris and Lucas have shared a strong bond. Growing up, they visited each others houses and spent quality time together. From playing Nerf gun battles and Madden to now hanging out on the golf course, Lucas has created many memories with Chris and is thankful to have him in his life.

Lucas met Rob in grade school growing up on the same block. Their friendship has grown throughout the years to becoming very close friends. Together, they roamed the woods in middle school, competed in sports together through high school, and set a personal Zombies record in CoD from the countless nights hanging out in the basement. They even created a shared obsession for golf. Lucas cherishes the memories they have created. Lucas is thankful that Rob is always there for him, a great friend, and someone he can count on.

Lucas first met Christian in early elementary school playing youth football for the Gators. Little did he know that Christian would end up being one of his best friends throughout his life. Growing up, they played football and baseball together and created countless memories in the neighborhood with their friends. The strong bond, laughs, and fun times will be always be cherished by Lucas. Lucas is thankful for having the support of a great person that has his back and looks forward to having him by his side on his wedding day.

Christian Martinitis

Jake and Lucas have shared many memories when growing up together. From sports and riding bikes in the neighborhood, to staying up late watching movies, Jake and Lucas always shared laughs and quality time together. Through grade school, Jake and Lucas went season to season together playing football, basketball, and baseball, becoming one of Lucas’ best friends. Lucas is thankful to have Jake by his side, his support, and the strong bond they’ve created.

Lucas grew up with Justin. They created a strong friendship through their grade school years playing football, basketball, and hanging out together. Justin became one of Lucas’ best friends throughout the years. From playing pick up basketball at the park to goofing around with their friends, they created lasting memories and laughs that Lucas will cherish forever. Lucas values their friendship and appreciates Justin always being a great friend. 

Justin Fortkamp

Lucas met Nate at college. Throughout college, they created a strong friendship. Nate and Lucas were able to create long lasting memories from hanging out at the baseball house, staying late after practice to get extra swings in, and even living together. Lucas and Nate were throwing partners for baseball and shared their love for the game together during their collegiate careers. Nate has emerged as one of Lucas’ best friends and is thankful for his support.

Lucas met Michael at college. They were able to build their relationship through the baseball team. Their “yee-yee” chants during warmup lines, hanging out at the baseball house, and joking around in the library when studying for business classes were some of the many memories Lucas and Michael were able to share. Lucas was honored to stand by Michael’s side on his wedding day. He is grateful that now one of his good friends, Michael, can stand by him on his special day.
