Please no jeans or sneakers. We ask that you wear semi-formal or dressy casual attire. For this time of year in Virginia, we recommend you bring a wrap or light jacket for the evening and possibly the outdoor ceremony. We also recommend flats or comfortable heels that are easy to wear when walking outside as the ceremony will be outside, weather depending. Weather depending, we will have an outdoor ceremony with an indoor cocktail hour (with access to a patio for optional use) and an indoor reception.

The daily high will likely be between 56-66 degrees and the low will likely be between 32-42 degrees. The sun will set at 4:57 PM.

The ceremony will take place at the Lakeside Gazebo next to the Mount Ida Manor House and the cocktail hour and reception will take place a short distance away at the Mount Ida Event Barn.

The ceremony will begin at 3:30, followed by a cocktail hour beginning at 4:00 while the wedding party finishes pictures. Upon the return of the wedding party, the reception will continue with dinner and dancing until the send-off at 9:30.

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall, where we will be serving hors d'oeuvres and beverages during a cocktail hour.

We love your children, but due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate guests under age 15 on our wedding day.

We will have several hors d'oeuvres served with cocktail hour and dinner will be buffet style including a salad, rolls, several sides, and two choices of entrees.

We would prefer to leave the picture taking to the professionals during the ceremony itself, however pictures are encouraged during the rest of the evening.

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
