Vin and Jamie grew up together in Rocky Point, NY. Each lived with their families in Miller Place, about 1.2 miles away from each other. They were both in Ms. Rivera's 3rd grade class and had a few classes together in middle school. Jamie can remember having a crush on Vin as far back as 7th grade, although never had the courage to strike up a conversation. She was disappointed when Vin did not attend the 8th grade formal and later decided to change schools and attend St. Anthony's for his freshman year of high school.

Vin returned to Rocky Point High School for sophomore year and the school was abuzz about his return, including Jamie. Eventually, match-maker, Amanda Sanchez (Kristine's best friend) convinced Vin to text Jamie. One evening, Vin texted Jamie "Hi" and the rest is history! They officially started dating when Vin asked Jamie to be his girlfriend on her front porch on May 16th, 2010.

Jamie and Vin spent the rest high school as a couple at Rocky Point. Both were 3-sport athletes who set their eyes on college lacrosse careers. They were both voted "Class Athlete" in their senior year year-book by their peers. Eventually, Vin committed to play D2 lacrosse at Belmont Abbey College in Charlotte, NC and Jamie went off to play D2 Lacrosse at East Stroudsburg University (ESU) in Pennsylvania. Times were trying as they adjusted to a long distance relationship, but things became easier when Vin decided to transfer to Nazareth College to finish his lacrosse career alongside his brother in Rochester, NY (a 4 hour drive from ESU). Vin and Jamie drove back and forth to each other's schools when time allowed during their busy lacrosse schedules.

After college, Vin began working full-time for Palatial Concrete in New Jersey while Jamie went to school to obtain her Master's Degree on Long Island. After graduating, Jamie received her first job as a Speech Language Pathologist in NYC and the couple moved into their first apartment together in Weehawken, NJ in August of 2018. Weehawken holds a special place in the heart of both Jamie and Vin because Vin proposed to Jamie on August 30th, 2019, a block away from their apartment, next to the Hudson River.

Jamie and Vin bought their first house in May of 2020 in Holmdel, NJ. They adopted princess Della girl that summer, and the following summer adopted little Putzi boy to complete their four-legged family.

After almost 12 years, Jamie and Vin have countless memories together. They are beyond excited after a prolonged engagement (thanks COVID-19) to tie the knot and celebrate with all of those whom have supported their love since the beginning. They look forward to continue sharing countless adventures together as husband and wife! Time to officially change #JayZtoJLo!!!!
