Our Love Story

Picture of Our Love Story

I first met Trey when we were kids through a mutual friend. There was a little spark, even back then—but life took us in different directions, and we eventually lost touch. Years later, God brought us back into each other’s lives, and this time, we decided to reconnect.

At first, we were just friends—playing video games, watching movies, and spending hours just talking and laughing. But slowly, something deeper started to grow, and I realized this was turning into more than just friendship.

Our first date was dinner at Half Shell, and we ended the night dancing in the living room to Across the Universe by The Beatles. Our second date took us to St. Augustine, and our third to the Jacksonville Zoo, where we spent the day laughing and getting to know each other all over again.

But the moment everything truly changed was a quiet day at the beach. We packed sushi, some drinks, and an old quilt, and spent the day napping in the sun, dancing in the sand, and running around like kids. Lying there on that quilt, I knew—this was it. That day, March 2nd, 2023, is when we officially became a couple.

About six weeks later, I found myself at work writing down all the little reasons I loved him on popsicle sticks & sticking them into a jar. When I ran out of room, I realized there would never be enough space in that jar, I was ready to say the words out loud. That night, we went out for tacos and margaritas with some of my closest friends and had the best time. On the way home, I curled up next to his arm and fell asleep. When I woke up, he looked over at me and said, “I love you.” I couldn’t believe he beat me to it—and if you know me, you already know I cried like a baby.

When we got home, I ran inside, grabbed the popsicle sticks, and finally told him I loved him too. We laughed so hard that night—one of those moments I’ll never forget.

What I’ve never really told him is that I actually started writing my vows not long after we met. I couldn’t explain it exactly—I just had a feeling. Something about him felt like home, and deep down, I think I already knew he was the one.

Since then, we’ve moved to Ohio & back, my dog Jasper has fully accepted Trey as his official dog dad, and I somehow know more about sports than I ever imagined I would. And it’s all led me here—writing out our story for all the people we love so very much. Whether you’ve been part of our past or will be part of our future, whether you’ve seen our love up close or are just getting to know it now, we’re so incredibly grateful to have you with us on this special day.

Love,
Jamison
