My best girlfriend called one day in early January of 2020 and said she had someone she wanted me to meet - and that was the beginning of us ... we texted and emailed for a couple of weeks before we decided to have a date. January 31st, 2020 we met at El Torasco in Visalia. we spent the next 3 days together and have been together ever since.
We had 2 dates - movie and dinner before the "lock down" and spent the next year "dating" at the grocery store, as that was the only place we could go! Mark nursed me through 6 weeks of covid, pancreatitis attacks, gallbladder surgey and family issues.
We have 4 kids between us, in order of age Jennifer 31, Bryan 28 (my two) Ian 25 and Chris 20 (Mark's boys).
We love to go to the movies, day adventures to the supermarket is still fun, travel is on the radar since Mark has retired at the ripe old age of 50 - trying new restaurants, having friends over, binge watching old TV shows and making each other laugh. We have 7 cats between us and this past Valentines Day, got 2 labradoodle puppies - our house is full of fur and 4 legged creatures that we adore - most days, Lucifer (the only male creature) is on a minute to minute basis...IYKYK....
We said from day one neither of us wanted to get married again, and that holds true, for the most part. I proposed on our 3rd anniversary over kung pao chicken at Liu's village - we have decided on a commitment ceremony, and will spend the rest of our days making each other laugh and support each other... We continue to strive to be the best we can for each other and ourselves. hope to see you in April of 2024!
