Beautiful golf course to go to in the Fall. As a bonus, you get to see Tom's golf ball slice right! Nothing says "I do" like helping the groom locate his golf ball in the woods.

I'm hoping they are in town the Wednesday/Thursday night of our wedding! Would be fun to get a group together and go. Don't have to worry too much about parking, as the Illitches love building parking lots instead of actually investing in the city..

Tom and Janae have been to see Redwings vs. Blackhawks games and Michigan vs. MSU games at this arena together! A house divided in more teams than one.

This museum is a must for Detroit auto history! Janae's favorite exhibit is the Rosa Parks' bus exhibit. While you're here, you can also check out Greenfield Village surrounding the museum.

You can hop on the trail just outside the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, MI. The trail is about 9 miles long and beautiful for a hike or run.

If you prefer a more rustic, hilly hike, this State Park is 10-20 minutes from Rochester, MI. Tom and I have been here several times alone and with good friends.

The jewel of Detroit! Belle Isle is located on the Detroit River separating Detroit from Canada. If you look closely, you can see the Ambassador Bridge between Windsor, Canada and Detroit behind us in this photo. Belle Isle also includes the Belle Isle Conservatory which is beautiful year-round, as well as the Belle Isle Aquarium, the oldest aquarium in North America. This island is the perfect place to explore via walking or biking on a sunny day. It can get windy, so bring layers.

The Eastern Market Saturday Farmer's Market is a MUST if you plan to spend any time downtown Detroit. The Market runs all year round and has fresh produce, flowers, made to order hot food, and more.

A short 5 minute walk from the Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester, MI, this is another favorite place Tom and Janae like to grab a beer. This photo was taken shortly after we started dating in 2021 when Tom decided to take Janae on a Bachelor-style "hometown date"!
