Praia Sol
A very reasonably priced hotel. We have stayed here before ourselves and found it very good. On last check it was €70 per couple per night including breakfast. It is a short walk to the marina and the beach. It also has a swimming pool and bar.
Hotel Vila Galé Ampalius
For people who want something slightly more on the high end budget, this is a gorgeous resort right on the beach with excellent facilities. When we last checked it worked out as €129 per couple per night with breakfast included.
Pinhal da Marina
If you would prefer an apartment instead of a hotel this place offers very reasonably priced apartments of all different prices. They start at around €89 per night.
Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Algarve Resort
For those of you who are very posh and love luxury, this is probably the fanciest hotel in the area. Located right on the marina it works out at around €243 per couple per night including breakfast.
There are lots of other accommodation options available. We suggest using the website booking.com or Airbnb if you would like to see other options. The above are just a few suggestions. Vilamoura is also a 20/25 minute drive from Albufeira for people who would prefer to stay there.
Transport
Flights
The closest airport to Vilamoura is Faro.
There are flights from Dublin, Cork, Shannon and Kerry in Ireland, and from East Midlands, Birmingham, Manchester and London in the UK.
Both Ryanair and Jet2 fly to Faro.

Airport Transfer
Bus
There are limited buses that can take you from Faro Airport to Vilamoura. However it usually requires two buses and can be time consuming.
Taxi
If you are planning to travel from Faro Airport to Vilamoura via taxi, it is highly advisable to pre-book your taxi. If you jump into a taxi at Faro airport without pre-booking, it can be quite expensive.
Uber/Bolt
Uber and Bolt are your go-to Taxi apps for The Algarve, and it is highly recommended to have downloaded these before you travel. This is the cheapest method of transport. They have an Uber/Bolt section outside of Arrivals.
You can pre-book Vilamoura transfers. They charge €30 approximately. Yellowfish transfers are highly recommended.
