You're Still the One

We've been together for so long our wedding will also be celebrating 15 years together! Yes. We said 15 years — and so we’re of course bracing ourselves for the barrage of “it’s about damn time” proclamations as we prepare for this. Over the years, our relationship has been wonderful on so many levels. First and foremost, we love each other unconditionally. When things get sticky, one of us will say, “well, you chose this!” and you know what? We’re right – and that’s the end of it. But we’re also best friends, great partners and confidants, and we communicate openly and honestly about everything. We laugh together, cry together and support one another without pause. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has always been worth it. We met in the winter of 2011, a whirlwind romance ensued and we decided to give a long-distance thing a try. Two and a half years later, Joel had a break in San Diego work projects and decided to move to Chico. Since then, we’ve built a fabulous, fun-filled life together. And — we're finally getting married! The most important key to our happiness as a couple has been all the support from our loved ones near and far during the various challenges and joys we've experienced together and individually over the years. And it’s because of and for you all that we celebrate this amazing new chapter of our lives together. We love all of you and are looking forward to celebrating our relationship with you!

In addition to the hotels listed below, there are 2 villas on the property located at The Palms (the wedding venue). The villas can house several people and are quite spacious, each able to accommodate up to 12 people. Each villa has a large kitchen and living room as well. Call or text Jane to arrange a stay at one of the villas. (530) 883-3912. The first villa is downstairs and has 3 bedrooms with 2 queen beds and 1 king bed, and 1 day bed that could be used in the common area. This villa has 2 bathrooms with a large kitchen, dining and living room. The cost for the villa is 900/night. The second villa is at capacity. We hope you can join us for our wedding in May....and this will be no "normal" wedding....well because, we want to shake it up!! We've posted a running schedule of the day's events so that you can decide when you want to join us, whether it's just for the ceremony and dinner in the evening, for games and swimming earlier in the day, cocktail hour in the late afternoon, or for the entire day! The venue will have places to change, shower and/or rest, or if you prefer, is close enough to central Chico so you will be able to go to your accommodations to rest and refresh before the evening ceremony.
