A couple of mixed up plans, leads to a chance meeting at a local Pub.....

Jane and Simon met in the Fall of 2023 at a Pub in Carmel, IN called Bar Louie. Jane was there with her girlfriend Mikki, after their original plans were canceled. It was a busy night, tables full, but Jane and her friend were able to snag one of the last tables.. a very long large table.. for the two of them to have dinner and drinks. Not long after, Simon showed up with his group of buddies, after their evening plans were changed due to unforeseen circumstances. Now, the time Simon arrived there were no more tables available. He asked Jane, is there a waitress coming around and can we sit here? Jane gave Simon the ok, and he proceeded to scoot down the long banquette booth to sit beside her. At some point Jane excused herself from the table and Simon seized the opportunity to ask Mikki if Jane was single.

After several drinks and lots of dancing, Simon asked Jane for her number and if he could take her to dinner. She turned him down initially (sorry Simon) anticipating she would be moving out of town for a fellowship program and not looking to date.

However, Simon persisted and Jane finally agreed to go out with him. They went out on one of many dates, which led to countless frequent flyer mileages between them.

The happy couple got engaged last April and celebrated where it all began.. at Bar Louie.
