Janel and Rahmir's love story began in 2015 where they first met on a blind date set up by a mutual friend. Janel moved from Charlotte to attend UNC Chapel Hill while Rahmir, a Durham native, was growing his career in the solar industry. As cliché as it sounds, there was an instant connection between the two. They were inseparable from the moment they met and stood by each other's side for the next 9 years through all of life's twists and turns. From Rahmir's career moving him 2 hours away and every new job and promotion in between, they celebrated every triumph and overcame every challenge together. They traveled the world together, New York City, Las Vegas, Chicago, Miami and Rome, making lifetime memories in their favorite cities and countries. In 2019, their love story reached a new milestone, they purchased their first home together and settled in Durham, North Carolina. Four years later, Rahmir would pop the question and the couple would celebrate their engagement surrounded by family and friends. Throughout the years, their love has blossomed and evolved, weaving a beautiful tapestry of cherished memories and shared experiences. On April 27th, 2024, they will embark on the next chapter of their love story as husband and wife and are incredibly grateful for the friends and family who will join them in doing so.
