Janelle and John met at Pomona College in the Theatre Department. While Janelle was a bit unsure of John, John knew Janelle was a catch! They had their first date December 13th, 2018 at Disneyland. After the holidays, John asked Janelle to go steady on January 25th, 2019!

The first year of their story went well and they were ready for anything that could come at them. Then Covid changed all of our worlds. John finished out his contract at Pomona College, and the future was unknown. He moved in with Janelle June 2020 so they could weather the storm together. Janelle was able to stay on at Pomona.

As the world started to reopen, John got a job at Brea Olinda High School. Janelle decided to go back to Cal Poly Pomona and finally get her degree! After about a year at the High School, John accepted the position at South Coast Repertory at the Sound and Video Supervisor. And Janelle graduated in May of 2023 with so much support from John.

Janelle and John moved to Buena Park so John could be closer to his new job. After 9 1/2 years at Pomona College, Janelle accepted the position of Master Electrician at Chapman University.

In November 2023, John surprised Janelle with a trip to Disneyland. Little did Janelle know that something bigger was in store for her. John took Janelle to the Millennium Falcon and got down on one knee. He gave Janelle the most amazing ring in the hand made box John literally made in front of Janelle at home!

Janelle and John are now embarking on the next step in their amazing journey and getting married!

We can't WAIT to share this big day with you all! Its going to be a blast!
