Do I need a passport to travel to Mexico?

Yes, a valid passport is required for all U.S. citizens traveling to Mexico. Please check your passport’s expiration date — it should be valid for at least six months after your travel dates.

Is there transportation from the airport to the hotel?

Ground transportation is being provided by Paradise Weddings. After purchasing your room through our room block, you will have the option of adding ground transportation. This round-trip service is $50 per person and is a non-stop, group-shared transfer. Meaning only guests from the wedding group will share the transportation.

Can I stay at a different resort?

We kindly ask that guests book within our room block. This ensures you’ll have access to the wedding events, as outside guests may need to purchase costly day passes and could miss out on group activities.

What is included in the all-inclusive package?

Your stay includes unlimited dining and drinks, 24-hour room service, daily entertainment, pools, a fitness center, and more. Select activities, spa services, and excursions may have additional costs.

What’s the difference between Moon Palace Cancun and The Grand at Moon Palace?

Moon Palace Cancun Sunrise offers a lively, family-friendly experience with plenty of restaurants, pools, and activities. The Grand at Moon Palace provides an elevated, luxury experience with exclusive fine dining, adults-only areas, and a full water park. Guests at The Grand have access to both resorts, while Moon Palace Sunrise guests can access The Grand with purchase of a day pass. All wedding events will on the Moon Palace Cancun Sunrise side of the resort.

Are kids welcome at the resort and at the wedding events?

Yes, both resorts are family-friendly, and children are welcome at the wedding.

Is the resort adults-only?

No. Both Moon Palace and The Grand are family-friendly, but The Grand does feature adults-only pools and restaurants.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The ceremony and reception will be semi-formal. The cocktail hour will be on the beach. Think cocktail attire with a tropical touch — flowy dresses, dress shirts, and lightweight suits are perfect.

Will events be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be inside a chapel, but the rest of our events will be outdoors to take advantage of the beautiful setting. We recommend bringing light, breathable fabrics and comfortable shoes for walking on paved or sandy areas.

What’s the tipping policy at the resort?

Gratuities are included in your stay, but small tips for exceptional service are always appreciated.

Can I extend my stay before or after the wedding?

Yes, you are welcome to arrive early or stay later to enjoy a longer vacation. Please check our booking link for rates and availability outside the main wedding dates.

What’s the weather like in Cancun in December?

December is one of the best times to visit Cancun! Expect warm, sunny days in the upper 70s to low 80s, with cooler evenings in the upper 60s. Humidity is lower than summer, and rain is less common. We recommend packing light, breathable fabrics for the day, a sweater or wrap for evenings, and of course—plenty of sunscreen.
