The year was 1999. Janelle was working at Staples in Exeter when Tom was hired in February.
Janelle and Tom hung out in group settings with coworkers for a few months but quickly turned into one on one time. By Christmas, they were a new item.
By Janelle's graduation in winter of '02, they had gone their separate ways.
Over the years, they maintained a friendship based on working for the same company but living up to 4 hours away from each other.
Just as their relationship started, they reconnected around Christmas of 2018, 19 years after it all started.
Their love quickly reignited and grew even deeper than before.
Tom proposed on Halloween 2024 with Janelle's mom as witness in front of the Millenium Falcon at Galaxy's Edge in Hollywood Studios, Disney World.
They share their home with two cats, Maggie and Milo.
