It's fair to say that before meeting, Janelle and Austin weren't necessarily looking for each other. Before Austin, Janelle was at a point where her priorities lied within the bounds of enjoying the rest of her summer, pre-graduation preparation, and the strict focus on whatever God had for her would happen in his perfect timing, and that included when and where her husband-to-be would find her. Before Janelle, Austin, on the other hand was focused on ministry, working four jobs during the summer, and progressing further towards his nursing degree. One night, they both happened to go to the same graduation party to support a mutual friend and WAIT FOR IT... Completely missed each other. Janelle ended up leaving the party early and Austin ended up showing up a few hours later. Little did they know, God had already planted the seeds of their future union into the very friend that they both came to celebrate that night. Being connected through that friend shortly after, Snapchat messages turned into late night text conversations and phone calls to share perspectives on their faith, compare each other's artistic interests, and challenge each other's spontaneity. Three weeks later, on July 8th, 2022, Austin asked Janelle to be his girlfriend and it didn't take long for God to reveal to her that Austin was her Always and to Austin, that Janelle would be his Forever.
