Our Wedding

Dillon and Janelle grew up in the same small hometown, somehow managing to miss their moment—until 2022, when they kept ending up at the same gatherings, beaches, and bars. Thanks to Janelle’s brother Frank, who, unbeknownst to him, was playing matchmaker all along. What ensued for Dillon and Janelle was the perfect mix of witty banter and heartfelt exchanges. Janelle was intrigued by Dillon’s passion and his playfulness. Dillon was captivated by Janelle's smile and her genuine empathy toward others. He eventually became lucky enough to take her out on an official date. One Catan game night turned into two, and it seems they have been dancing at weddings as plus ones ever since. Together, they love playing games, being outside, hiking, and spending time at the beach. They’re also proud aunt and uncle to the coolest kids around, and if there’s one thing that matters most to them, it’s family. They love to travel, never say no to something sweet, and are always up for their next adventure—together. From small-town beginnings to a life full of laughter and just the right amount of chaos, they’re so excited to start this next chapter together.

Wedding Party

Think cocktail party by the lake — dressed up, but light and breezy for a summer evening outdoors. For her: a midi or maxi dress, a jumpsuit, or dressy separates; long and flowy is always a good call. For him: a summer suit or a sport coat with dress pants and a button-down. Ties are welcome but optional, and linen is encouraged.Because we'll be on grass and concrete all evening, block heels, wedges, or flats will serve you better than stilettos. And since we'll be outside the whole night, please come prepared for sunshine, humidity, and the occasional Lake Michigan breeze — a shawl or light layer is a smart move for the evening chill so the party doesn't have to stop!
