Our love story began in the most unexpected way, I (Janet) was focused on a career change while, Alejandro was ready to settle down.

One fun-spooky Halloween night.
Our best friend, Amber Aker, (eager to introduce us for some time) invited me out to meet Alejandro and catch up on our lives.

A few bubblies and wine, a couple rounds of corn-hole and pumpkin carvings, we continued the night at the Aker’s and played Mario Party!

It was past my bedtime, it was time for me to go.

We said our goodbyes.

Later that week, my phone received a message that said

“ Hey I asked Amber for your number, I hope that was okay and not creepy”

To Answer your question, yes. I was creeped out. I was caught off guard when I received the text from an 815 number (at the time).

“New number, who diz?” I replied.(To answer your question, no - there was no new number … I’ve had this number since middle school)

“Alex Mancha, Amber and Chief Keef homie from the Halloween party” - He said.

“Oh, Hi” - I said

“ I was wondering if you’d like to get a bite to eat at Honey’s this Saturday ” - he said

“A girl can eat. I’m down” - I said

Friday night came around, The nerves were high for the both of us. Alex was 2 old fashions deep, while he waited for my late arrival..

The anxiety was just about to make my heart come out of my butt, up until the moment we RE-met for our first date.

We knew there was something special between us. It took me awhile to adjust and learn. We’d both been single for a loooooong time. I on the other hand had already adjusting to a life without someone to love, until I met him.

We’ve shared countless adventures and created beautiful memories together. Through every high and low, our love has only grown stronger. We’ve celebrated ; career and personal milestones, as well as big and small catfishes. We supported each other through those challenges, and found joy in the little things that make life wonderful. Our journey has been filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support, leading us to this beautiful moment where we commit to spending the rest of our lives together.

We can't wait to celebrate our special day with all of you and start this new chapter in our lives.
