Our Wedding

Our story began with a swipe right on Hinge... After a couple of days of getting to know each other, Max &amp; Janie had a coffee Facetime date. The date involved lots of smiles, interrupted WiFi signal, and ended with the excitement of knowing they were going on another date...This time meeting in person to drink coffee and going to a bookstore.They connected with their interest in sciences, music, and spirituality. Since that moment, they have been inseparable, with their love and understanding of themselves and who they would be together.The next step in their relationship was Janie meeting James. When Janie met James the two of them bonded instantly through play and exploration of art and nature. Within a few months they became best friends and the thought of being a family together began to bloom.From family dance parties in the living room, to festivals, camping, and the weekly bagel breakfast. The last three years have been filled with adventures near and far- new friends and family, and continued growth.No matter what road lies ahead, they take comfort in knowing they have each other to dance through the hard times, celebrate the wins, and love one another to the end.

Our Story

Please review the maps for camping &amp; parking information. Car-pooling is highly encouraged!!!!If transportation is needed from parking to the ceremony site, please let us know in advance. A golf cart will be on site. Venue address:395 Meyers Fork Rd, Frenchburg, KY 40322 (house address)  SAFETY: A waiver is required to be signed before entering the property. This is due to drop offs around the trail areas. Kids will need to be supervised on the property at all times. CAMPERS: 2 porta-potties &amp; outdoor shower will be on site.Please refrain from using permanent outhouse on site unless it's a must.Please bring your own firewood, food, &amp; please leave pets at home. Don't forget med kits or any other camping necessities!Frenchburg is a dry county, so if you want alcoholic beverages, please purchase before hand.

Celebrating our love &amp; weaving two families as one with a May Pole dance!While drums play, dance around the maypole.Last one standing is the May Queen! If interested, let us know, if you would like to participate in the drum circle or the May Pole dance. Feel free to make your own ribbon for this as well! However, we will have ribbon on site ready to go! *CASH ONLY*Participants can buy a $10 chance to draw a random post position from a field of 20. If 40 people join, positions will be duplicated, and the pot split between the two winners. A late scratch results in a refund for that position. Winners are determined by the official results of the 151st Kentucky Derby.*Event is first come first serve.*

Calling all our creative friends &amp; family!It’s highly encouraged to bring your own work,lights, and display your pieces! Please come the night before or morning of to help set up. You can bring rechargeable/battery operated lights, speakers, disco balls or any other decoration. We’d love for the reception to feel like a mini music festival!

As this location is out in Red River Gorge, please book lodging ahead of time, here are a few local options:

Black Bear Lodge Motel

Tent or hammock camping is available at the ceremony site. Outhouse, porta potty, &amp; solar shower are available.Bring your own toilet paper, trash bags, and firewood.Pack out what you pack in!Fill out RVSP to let us know if you’re bringing a tent or hammock camping, so we can set the sites accordingly. A waiver will need to be signed before or at arrival.There are a couple of fire pits on the property. Bring your own food throughout the duration of your stay (excluding Friday &amp; Saturday night dinner).PETS: Pets are not allowed on site.
