My first encounter with Mike was at the Bluemoon fest in 2019. Jon introduced him as his gay best friend. I didn't know Jon, so I took his word for it. I thought Mike was harmless, so I let my walls down. We danced and drank the entire night. I thought I made a new gay best friend, but that was a joke. I found out afterwards that Mike was very much straight. I was so embarrased that I ignored his multiple attempts afterwards.

Fast forward a few months later, Monica and I were going to see Goo Dolls and Train. We had bought the tickets weeks ago for $20. Last minute, Monica 'couldn't afford' her $20 ticket and sold it to Mike. I was so pissed off, but if it wasn't for Monica, our story would have never happened. The rest has been history ever since.
