Jaquie and Grey have a classic story of best friends to lovers. Jaquie and Grey met at Hoover High School when they sat together in Mr. Kincaid's office. Both were heavily involved in the choir. Grey and Jaquie became tech members of the Paradigm Show Choir and spent lots of time together during rehearsals and shows. This is really how their friendship started to blossom.Over time, the duo became inseparable. They hung out together after class, went on choir trips together, talked on the phone often, and loved to get dinner together (still do). For a long time, it seemed everyone knew they were soulmates except them. They remained friends for four years, never admitting their feelings to each other.

Then, everything changed when Grey invited Jaquie to his senior prom. He simply invited her because he didn't have a date and decided to take his best friend. Little did they realize, it would change everything. After a lovely prom together, their dynamic started to change. It was no longer possible to deny feelings for each other. So, they started dating that summer and went to Auburn University together in August.

In March of 2024, the couple took a trip to Tennessee. After three years of dating, Grey proposed in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Jaquie said yes while he kneeled in the Laurel Falls.

Jaquie and Grey have since graduated from Auburn University. The couple has moved back to Birmingham and have both started their careers. Grey is a medical assistant at Brookwood and Jaquie is the education coordinator for the Alabama Forestry Foundation. They have been there for each other through the challenges of college and all the ups and downs of life, and they will continue to do so. After nine years of friendship and five of those as a couple, Grey and Jaquie are so happy to get married! They are so excited about this next chapter of life together! It is an extraordinary thing to find a best friend who also makes the perfect partner.
