We met in 2019 while working at The Other Place on College Hill. Brianna was in her junior year at the University of Northern Iowa, and Jared had just graduated.

Our first date was in November of 2019. We went to a movie in Cedar Falls and then walked around downtown getting to know each other.

We celebrated our first Valentine's Day by going to Edith & Lucille's restaurant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and found an old arcade to play games in all afternoon. We have continued to go back to the restaurant for special date nights ever since.

During the pandemic, we tried spending as much time outdoors as possible, and found many new hiking trails that we still use today.

While living in Cedar Falls, we travelled to many places to see friends, hike, and explore. One of our favorite places to visit was Des Moines, Iowa.

During the summer of 2021, we moved to La Crosse, Wisconsin so Brianna could pursue her graduate degree for school psychology. We immediately fell in love with the bluffs and hiking trails in Wisconsin.

We adopted 8-year-old Dexter from a shelter in Rochester, MN. He instantly became our best friend and constant companion.

We drove to the top of the bluffs in La Crosse one night, listening to music and planning for our future when Jared proposed.
