Jared and Maggie met at the gym in 2019 after being introduced by their mutual friend, Hillery Nelson. Before their first date, Jared had every intention of canceling on Maggie after his friends came into town unexpectedly. After coming to his senses, Jared took Maggie to lunch and drinks, which turned into a second date later that night to get ice cream. Fun fact - Jared doesn't like ice cream, but knew Maggie did, which made it the perfect excuse to see her twice in one day. Obviously, Jared & Maggie are very happy he did not bail on their first date!

Jared proposed on New Years Day 2021, after tricking Maggie into thinking they were going to dinner at Hyde Park in Crocker Park. Jared convinced Maggie to go for a walk around Crocker to look at the Christmas lights, despite the frigid weather. After a short walk, Jared pulled Maggie into the middle of the street "to get a better look at the lights", and got down on one knee. Although Jared's mind blanked and he forgot most of what he wanted to say, he said enough for a "YES!" to his proposal. Passing cars and pedestrians cheered, and Maid-of-Honor Alexis and Bridesmaid Hillery were hiding nearby to capture the special moment on camera. The couple celebrated by calling friends and family, and going to one of their favorite restaurants, Bourbon Street Barrel Room. After all, Jared says that Hyde Park is only for birthdays and break-ups.

Jared and Maggie moved into their new house in July 2021 and are having a great time putting their own personal touches on the home.

Jared and Maggie are planning their honeymoon in Italy, and are so excited to see the world together as husband and wife!
