Our love story began at a Monday night Bible Study in January where Jared asked me to go climbing that Wednesday which led to skiing that Saturday and hanging out every day after I recovered from covid.... He hooked me with "homemade covid soup" and good company! His cooking is top notch <3

We met officially in December 2021 at a movie that mutual friends (Chelsea and Jordan) invited us to and unofficially at the climbing gym sometime that spring. When we met up again at a Bible Study in January we quickly discovered that conversation was easy and our values were the same! I love how attentive he is and thoughtful not only towards me, but also to everyone else in his life. His life is marked by the Lord in so many ways. I appreciated his boldness when he asked if we (my roommate Chelsea and I) liked to ski and then when he asked if he could make me soup when I was recovering from covid after skiing. He put himself out there by asking me on an official date February 8th (which is where we took the picture above). He picked me up at my house, opened my car door and paid for my meal. Chivalry is not dead! He proceeded to call me every day after and take me out on follow up dates accompanied by flowers and thoughtful gifts. He has pursued me in a way that has made me feel seen and heard. He is one of the best listeners I know!

Jared asked me to be his wife on June 12, 2022 in a spot that means a lot to both him and I overlooking Yakima. As we were walking down from the proposal he turned to me and said, "How great is it that we now get to go and thank and praise the Lord together?!" I am so thankful that he cares so much for our Savior and asked me to marry him right before church where we were able to celebrate with our close friends and church family.

We are excited for this season of engagement and even MORE excited for the years of serving the Lord together ahead. Thank you for embarking on this journey with us!
