Caroline and Jareth had the same history class in 2017, 7th grade, and never noticed one another. This pattern continued for 4 years, until one day Caroline ditched seminary (she did this often, lol) and noticed Jareth for the first time. It was the last day before spring break. Through a mutual friend, she got his Snapchat and it took Jareth a whole week to make a move. After that, however, they hit it off and stayed in touch daily throughout spring break, which covid extended quite a bit. More talking revealed that Caroline’s cousin (shoutout Bryn) and Jareth’s sister (shoutout Lacie) were friends. One night, Jareth and Lacie decided to go to Sonic, and Caroline invited herself and Bryn to go along. Once they got there, Jareth ordered himself a route 44 ocean water with lime (a classic for him) and Caroline got nothing, because she was nervous (I swear I offered to buy her something), and then sat in Caroline’s car, and they talked for 3 hours. One particular conversation that will live in infamy in this household is that Jareth was scared to say what music he actually listened to, and “fish sandwiched” it and said that Bruno Mars was his favorite artist. (He’s not.)

They continued to have these Sonic meetups, until they developed a more refined, classy taste in meeting places. This new place is the five-star establishment some know as “Dairy Queen”. Fast forward a few more dates and they had their first kiss in the Taco Bell parking lot (seeing a theme here?), and shortly after, Jareth asked Caroline to be his girlfriend. The first year of their relationship saw a lot of time with Caroline teaching Jareth to shop at Goodwill and watching Jareth at the skatepark. The second year saw a lot of time at EVIT and Crumbl, as they were in the same nursing assistant program and Caroline was Jareth’s boss at work. They also graduated high school during this year. The third year, Caroline went to live in Hawaii to live her best life, while Jareth got to hold the fort down in Arizona. They learned and grew a lot during the long distance, and although Hawaii was paradise, Caroline couldn’t wait to be back with Jareth.

In August they got engaged, ready to spend eternity together. They can’t wait to navigate life together and have lots of fun adventures. Lots of camping, hiking, movie nights, and other fun activities await their future. Caroline works as a PCT at Chandler Regional Hospital while a nursing student and Jareth has finished his 3rd year at Crumbl and is a psychology student working towards a career in clinical psychology. They feel so lucky to have so much support from their loved ones who have gotten them to where they are today.
